This Selmer Balanced Action E^b alto saxophone is suitable for the advanced or professional saxophonist looking for a vintage instrument that can last their career.

The Balanced Action model from Selmer ran from 1936-1948 when they moved onto the Super Action. The Balanced Action was something of an innovative design and it is really the first Selmer model to have what we would now regard as the 'modern layout' in terms of key design, and it was this new ergonomic feel that helped propel Selmer to the heights they experienced in this golden period.

This sax is one of their earlier models dating back to 1939 and has been re-lacquered at a later date.  This pro-level horn is responsive and powerful displaying a characteristic Selmer sound, capable of a stunning performance.  

Wear & Tear Observations: There are no signs of dents or repairs to the saxes body, just one small dink by the octave key. The lacquer is in good condition with just some minor wear to the low E^b/ C keys and LH table keys and a couple of fine scratches to the saxes body. This sax has recently been serviced by our workshop ready for sale.
