The JP902 is an inexpensive Ab Post Horn Ideal for the famous Post Horn Galop & The Huntsman. At 26.5" long and featuring a tuning slide, it benefits from accurate tuning and a warm sound. With a two piece yellow brass construction, the JP902 is available in a lacquer or  silverplate finish and provides a lovely warm sound. The JP902 Ab Post Horn performs very well against much more expensive models from top brands.

A friend presented me with his recently acquired JP902S post horn with a view to playing it on the pitch at Leicester City Football Club for one of their home fixtures, The 'Post Horn Galop' being a club anthem at LCFC for many years, echoing around the stadium at every home game as the players exit the tunnel onto the pitch.
This instrument is well made with a quality silver finish, using my own mouthpiece, the instrument played well compared to my more vintage post horns and had a good projected sound.
These instruments are inexpensive and ideal for any band wanting to add something a little different to their concert repertoire, a feature that's always well received by the audience.

I bought the John Packer JP902 Ab Post Horn for myself this Christmas and I am very pleased with the whole experience so far.
The horn itself is made to a very high standard and is also tuneable for playing with a group. My only criticism really, is the massive JP embossing on the bell . I feel it is unusually and unnecessarily large? I would have preferred a simple worded and smaller trade mark.
The mouthpiece supplied is unmarked and impossible to identify? I will be asking JP for advice on this aspect as I myself (everyone is different) would like a shallower cup version.
The sound is bright and the build quality very good. Relatively inexpensive at £100 delivered to my door, this post horn will last several lifetimes.
