Honest review of an incredible horn

I've been playing this tuba with a PT-50 mp for about 1.5 years. It's a really great horn. The metal very thick- making it somewhat heavy, The up side to the thick metal is its great tone. It's also really durable. Intonation is good- aside from needing to pull first slide out a lot for Eb and D. That is to be expected, it IS a copy (or upgrade, rather) of a Meinl Weston 25. Valves are smooth as butter as long as they are maintained. Overall just really great. Lots of flexibility to be had- maybe a bit much if you're used to a small tuba where notes slot easily. Just a note.
The case will fall apart fast, so beware of that. The handle will break, the carrying straps will tear off, and the hinges will fall out. Consider the cost of a new case in the next few years when purchasing this tuba.
