• Type EW Headjoint: The lip plate and headjoint body are sculpted out of a single piece of fine African grenadilla for a pure, natural resonance
• The surface of the lip plate is extermely comfortable and provides secure control
• A silver tenon fits the headjoint into the body and footjoint connector, just as with a precious metal flute. This adds focus and increased projection to the sound. It also helps to considerably reduce the weight of the flute and resist cracking
• The tone holes are precision-crafted of inset grenadilla which allows wider sized holes like those of metal flutes. This is another factor contributing to the flute's accurate intonation and tonal clarity.

The Yamaha 874WH is supplied in a a vinyl covered, hard shell case. An accessory pack including a polish cloth, gauze cloth, wooden cleaning rod and instruction manual is also provided.
