This alto saxophone mouthpiece from the Jumbo Java range has a small chamber, very high baffle and large bore which makes it the hardest hitting of the Vandoren ranges. It produces a sound very similar to a metal mouthpiece but with the comfort of ebonite. Its balance between comfort and projection makes it suited to Jazz, blues, soul and funk playing. The A55 is comparable with a Meyer 10.
It has long facing length and an open tip opening.
