This is a half open hole, wooden, English thumb plate system oboe. With long F and C # and a B to C link. This is a pro level instrument of its time, ideal now for an experienced player.
With a darker round sound and comfortable keywork.
There is some wear to plating as expected for its age, but otherwise is in good order. Would benefit from a full re-pad – offers invited. Original hard case included.
This oboe is ideal for someone who has some grounding on the oboe, to appreciate the left hand keywork. Also ideal for a player looking for a darker tone.
Service Notes: A pre delivery service/check will be undertaken prior to shipping. At busy periods this may entail a small delay. If this order is urgent please contact us as we are usually able to expedite.
This oboe comes in a worn hard snake-skin style case with blue lining. There is a reed case also.
