Product details

The world’s first 100% precision-milled, vintage-inspired mouthpieces.

Proprietary rubber is unique to Reserve mouthpieces and is milled, not molded.

Precision machining delivers unparalleled accuracy – no hand finishing required.

Designed by a team of top players, craftsmen and engineers.

More open facing for added resistance and projection the X10E also features a unique baffle design for increased tonal resonance and ease of response. Pitched at A=442 z X10E is an ideal mouthpiece for European students and professionals alike as well as symphonic clarinetists worldwide.

Inspired by the most prized, vintage mouthpieces of the 1920s, the Reserve harnesses modern technology, pioneered by D’Addario, to recreate the incomparable craftsmanship found in these legendary works of art. Milled—not molded—from hard rubber for a higher level of consistency, every Reserve mouthpiece is machined to the strictest tolerances. But make no mistake: the true beauty of Reserve lies beyond its polished angles, glorious curves and proprietary materials to something far more remarkable… its sound.

  • Not for classical

I wonder why so many reviews are all about praise on this mpc. I know that personal preferences differ from person to person; but to me, this mpc does not sound as deep and rich as those from other companies. I don't know, it could just be me- but I find that it has somewhat shallow tonal quality, with its 2nd octave sounding rather thin and too bright. Except for the tone everything else is okay. It is very consistent, very free blowing and not reed picky. If you're playing only in an orchestra or into the jazz, this mpc is highly recommendable. But I don't think this could be your best choice for serious playing of classical pieces. I believe that this mpc needs to have darker and fatter tone than now.
