Choice of Grenadilla and Cocobolo woods:

Grenadilla and Cocobolo offer very different tonal characteristics.

The sound that Grenadilla products produce contain more high overtones and, therefore, have been described as having “ping.”

Cocobolo has less of these high overtones and is often described as being “warmer” than Grenadilla. Cocobolo also tends to project more efficiently than Grenadilla.
