What is Purple Tuesday and John Packer
Purple Tuesday on November 13th is the UK's first accessible shopping day, established to recognise the importance and needs of disabled consumers and promote inclusive shopping.
While our new showroom is not yet open to the public, there are a number of ways we're committed to making our services at John Packer accessible to all.
For a start our staff are very approachable and will always ask customers if they can help. They are also able to offer advice on playing supports in addition to instruments.
Customers have ample parking and a ramp leads to our front door. Our new large showroom is easily navigable to wheelchair users and we offer private rooms for trying instruments and discussing needs.
Purple Tuesday is being co-ordinated by disability organisation Purple, with the endorsement of the Department for Work and Pensions and support from a steering group of Purple Tuesday launch partners.
