DASP Music Fest 2019
John Packer will be attending the first day long family music festival organised by Dorchester Area Schools Partnership (DASP).
DASP music is a registered charity which aims to enhance the musical education of young people in Dorchester and beyond. They coordinate instrumental lessons and provide support for schools across the Dorchester Area while also providing a range of musical ensembles open to all young people in the local area.
Taking place on Saturday 29th June at The Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester between 10am-4pm, DASP Music Fest is a day for all the family get involved in something musical. There will be performances from all of the DASP Ensembles, plus other invited groups. In addition, there will be workshops and other activities for all children and adults to take part in throughout the day including a ‘come and try’ session, music tech session, Big Sing and barn dance!
The event is free for all to attend and Hanna Trevorrow, head of DASP Music is hoping that many people will come and spend a few hours watching and taking part in various different activities.
Retail team Alice and Jeanette will be on hand on Saturday with a range of instruments and information our very popular rental scheme.
