The Boadicea Adjustable French Horn Holding Strap is a comfortable leather and velcro strap for French Horn players. It improves comfort and will also help to reduce lacquer wear. The holding strap is best used in conjunction with a Boadicea French Horn Hand Grip for best results.
This short guide has been developed to help players install their holding strap correctly. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact our Brass Manager, Steve Herbert.

Place your ‘hand grip’ on the horn with the finger ring through the slit on the grip. Do not do up the laces at this stage.
Place the ‘holding strap’ on the underside of the tubing beneath the 'hand grip'. Then wrap the ‘hand grip’ around the tubing and ‘holding strap’.
Hold the horn with your left hand in the playing position and make a note where the edge of your hand is on the ‘hand grip’.
Start to lace up the ‘hand grip’ but let the ends of the ‘holding strap’ come out of the gaps between the lace-holes which were closest to the outside of your hand.
Fix the ‘holding strap’ across the back of your left hand.
