JP 191 Shortreech Bassoon

'Having tested the new John Packer short-reach bassoon, I was delighted by its design, intonation and quality of tone - so much so that I immediately ordered 10 for use in Primary schools in Northants. Having an open hole at the top makes them an ideal stepping stone for moving on to a full-sized instrument later. The keywork is well designed, lies comfortably under a small hand and appears to be robustly constructed. They are free blowing and produce a tone comparable with instruments costing twice as much.
