Beefing up the Background Brass
In the beginning there was the JP Background Brass range, the JP 172 Tenor Horn, the JP 173 Baritone Horn and the JP 174 Euphonium. This has been a very successful range and these instruments have proved to be very popular. However, as we are always looking to improve and expand where possible, we are delighted to introduce the following.
Tenor Horns - Even Better
The New JP 172 Tenor Horn is much, much better than it's predecessor! This is now a professional model with quality and performance to match yet it comes at a student price that defies all logic! This is, quite simply, a remarkable for a horn for the price; it is very free blowing and responsive with excellent intonation. Now you also have the added option of silver plate as well as lacquer.
Definitely worth a closer look. Lacquer £149 (ex VAT) Silver Plate £169 (ex VAT)
Baritone Horns - Top range professional
We have added a new model Baritone Horn, the JP 273. Again this is a step up from the JP 173 and features a compensating system like that found on top range professional models. The JP 273 represents an outstanding level of instrument but still at a student price. It is capable of taking a student to the higher grades or equally could be used to great effect by a lower section/Youth brass band.
Available in lacquer or silver plate at the same price - £249 (ex VAT)
Euphoniums - Shock Waves!
Here we have come up with not one new model but two! The JP 274 and JP 374. The JP 274 is a standard 4-valve model and it represents a great value starter instrument. It has the advantage of a conventional 4 valve 3+1 set up.
The JP 374 is a full 4-valve compensating model and we believe it will send shock waves through the brass band movement as again it represents outstanding tuning and intonation complete with a traditional brass band sound.
It also comes with the usual John Packer price tag, only £399 (ex VAT)
Mini Tuba - Selling Like Hot Cakes
Last but by no means least we come to the JP 177 Tuba. After extensive searching and design work John Packer Ltd have finally found the answer to the Tuba Issue - a Single Eb Tuba that is designed around a 9-year old child. Despite the small wrap it blows very freely and coupled with a good mouthpiece and lightweight yet strong case with wheels will enable schools and music services alike to benefit from an increased uptake in Tuba's. We have already had a great response; some LEA's are buying them in tens!
We are very proud of our new tuba; it has a great sound, fantastic tuning and is only £499 (ex VAT).
