Served in The Royal Marines Band Service from 1975 - 1986 as a solo cornet player with FONAC,FOFIII & CTCRM. Currently live in a village outside of Taunton, Somerset. Saw the light and changed to French Horn during the year 2000 and play in a local brass quintet 'Top Brass' which is made up of ex-Royal Marines and are kept busy playing at weddings and local functions.
After leaving The Royal Marines Steve served a total of 18 years with the Devon & Dorset TA Band and held the rank of Band Colour Sergeant. Also play with Taunton Concert Band and other military bands and orchestras in Somerset and Devon when required! Spare time is spent arranging and composing music for military band and brass quintet. Having learnt the cornet and trumpet from the age of 8 and played in brass bands / military bands / ensembles and orchestras Steve can draw on a vast amount of musical experience.
Within John Packer's Steve is our brass expert. Steve can also be seen outside of the shop on many trade stands throughout the country.
